The Tour for the Cure made a mark on Spring Garden Road, where we spent our last day in Halifax. Women and men from nearby offices popped in to explore our interactive displays, and were impressed to learn that there are proactive steps that they can take at home to become breast aware. Kimberly visited us to reinforce the importance of knowing one’s body. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in her early twenties after finding a lump in her breast. Like us, Kimberly hopes to encourage more people to learn what changes they should be looking for at home.
